Black limos — a symbol of death?

Though we never really know where (or if) the hit took place, if we assume that Diane felt as though her life had ended the night of the party, it's understandable that she'd convert the black limousine into a vehicle of death. After all, didn't it ferry her to her own "fate"? Allen B. Ruch

There are at least 3 different limos

  1. An older Lincoln that travels Mulholland Drive with Rita/Camilla in the beginning and with Diane to the pool party. Same sedan takes the Castigliane brothers to the meeting.

  2. An even older model Lincoln that is shown crashed off the road with the white Taurus. It is a Lincoln even if the detective calls it a "Caddy". The whole crash is surreal as two vehicles would never end up joined as they do. Maybe it has to do with the blonde/brunette thing (white car/black car) and switching cars has to do with switching identities etc. — richdubbya
  3. A newer Lincoln of the old couple at L.A. airport. Probably the same model is shown at Sierra Bonita with the woman in yellow dress. · Visual echoes — Black limousine
