Black limos — a symbol of death?
Though we never really know where (or if) the hit took place, if we assume that Diane felt as though her life had ended the night of the party, it's understandable that she'd convert the black limousine into a vehicle of death. After all, didn't it ferry her to her own "fate"? — Allen B. Ruch
There are at least 3 different limos
- An older Lincoln that travels Mulholland Drive with Rita/Camilla in the beginning and with Diane to the pool party. Same sedan takes the Castigliane brothers to the meeting.
Crash site - An even older model Lincoln that is shown crashed off the road with the white Taurus. It is a Lincoln even if the detective calls it a "Caddy". The whole crash is surreal as two vehicles would never end up joined as they do. Maybe it has to do with the blonde/brunette thing (white car/black car) and switching cars has to do with switching identities etc. — richdubbya

Dualities
- Rita (Camilla) and Diane ride the same limo, on the same place, and stop (apparently) at the same location.
- The elderly couple ride a similar limo from LAX.
- The Castigliane Bros have a similar limo too.
- The lady in yellow at Sierra Bonita seems to leave in a black limo too.
- Adam smashing the Castigliane Bros' limo echoes with the car crash at the beginning of the film.
- Dialogue clue: "What are you doing? We don't stop here!" (Rita & Diane)
- A white and black sedan crash into each other on Mulholland Dr. similar to blonde Diane colliding with brunette Camilla.

- The limo that transports Rita/Camilla Rhodes has the license plate 2GAT123. "Gat" is slang for "gun" and it has some fun implications as a hit-limo.
